This is an original telling of the Robin origin story for Dick Grayson. This is not meant to take place in any already established universe, comic, movie, or show. All elements are inspired by multiple versions, picked by yours truly.
Some scenes are directly inspired by shows (The Batman 2004 show, for example), while other similarities are purely coincidental.

It has been two years since Dick Grayson was taken in by Bruce Wayne, found out that he was, in fact, the Batman, and became his crime-fighting partner known to the public as Robin, the Boy Wonder.
Since then, all Dick has ever done is get better. Better at school, better at charming the elite at galas and parties. Better at fighting crime in the night. He became an inspiration for other aspiring sidekicks, even forming a team over the summer in Jump City, California: The Teen Titans.
But that was a break, a small jaunt, and now he is back in Gotham. But having the taste of freedom, of leading a team, and always knowing what to do, Dick is having a hard time adjusting back to life as a partner, a sidekick....

Now an accomplished hero in his own right, Robin is flourishing. He and Batman are getting along for once, with Bruce finally allowing him to spread his wings. He’s got a girlfriend, his driver’s license, and for the first time in years, life is good.
Which is why Dick isn’t surprised when things go wrong. But he never expected them to go this wrong.
Without warning, without a trace, Batman vanishes—leaving Dick to hold together a crumbling empire by day and a broken city by night, all while trying to find the missing Bat… and not fall apart himself. But Gotham is unraveling faster than he can fix it, and every lead points to Deathstroke.
